Valley Wellness has been rooted in Raritan since 2018, and everything about us reflects that. We’re not a chain, not a franchise, and not a newcomer. We’re a Woman Business Owned Enterprise (WBE), founded by Sarah Trent, a NJ native and practicing attorney who saw an opportunity to build something the community actually needed. Sarah’s legal background shaped every policy and every process from day one. Compliance isn’t a box we check. It’s the foundation that makes everything else possible, and it’s why patients and customers have trusted us from the very beginning.
What started as a medical Alternative Treatment Center has grown into one of the top-15 dispensaries in New Jersey, now serving both medical patients and adult-use customers with the same care and expertise. Sarah also founded our sister company, NJ Cannabis Certified, which reflects our broader commitment to cannabis education across the state. Our Raritan dispensary staff is certified, highly trained, and shares a genuine belief in the holistic properties of cannabis. Most of our staff grew up here, live here, and shop here. Cannabis 101
Cannabis Certified is a sister company to Valley Wellness. In 2019 after applying for a permit to open a dispensary in Raritan, NJ, founder Sarah Trent, recognized the need for cannabis education and Cannabis Certified was born. Gathering industry professionals, a 15 hour live Zoom course was created.
During five sessions you learn about NJ laws and regulations, plant physiology and cultivation techniques, manufacturing and testing processes, the human body’s Endocannabinoid system and the effects cannabis has on this system, and lastly what it is like to work in a dispensary.
The course is taught in partnership with multiple community colleges across the State. It is designed for those individuals interested in becoming a part of this emerging industry or simply for people interested in broadening their knowledge of the plant.

Just steps from our dispensary, DeLucia's Brick Oven Pizza has earned its reputation as one of New Jersey's most celebrated pies. Valley Wellness is located at 407 US-202, Raritan, NJ 08869, just off the Somerville Circle where US-202 and US-206 meet. With direct access from I-287 to the north and Route 22 to the east, we're a straightforward drive from communities across Central and Northern New Jersey.
Our Raritan dispensary is open Monday through Saturday from 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM, and Sunday from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM. Delivery runs daily from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM.
You must be 21 or older for adult-use cannabis purchases. Valid government-issued ID is required at the point of sale. Out-of-state IDs are accepted. For medical purchases, a valid New Jersey medical cannabis card is also required.
A medical card is only required for medical cannabis purchases. Adult-use customers do not need a medical card. If you're interested in learning more about obtaining a medical cannabis card in New Jersey, our on-site pharmacist is available for in-person or virtual consultations.
Our dispensary in Raritan, NJ, carries a broad selection of cannabis products, including flower, edibles, vapes, concentrates, tinctures, topicals, infused pre-rolls, and accessories. We also carry gluten-free, sugar-free, and vegan options. Our menu updates regularly, so we recommend checking online before your visit.
We accept cash, debit, and AeroPay at our Raritan dispensary. For delivery orders, debit card payments are capped at $500. ATM access may be available on-site.
Adult-use customers may purchase up to 28 grams per day. Medical patients have a monthly allotment of approximately 3 ounces, though some patients have an unlimited allotment. Our team is happy to help you understand your options.
New Jersey cannabis purchases are subject to state excise tax and applicable sales tax. Tax details can vary, so we recommend checking with our team at the time of your visit for the most accurate breakdown.
Medical patients are exempt from state sales tax on cannabis purchases, which is one of the many financial benefits of holding a valid New Jersey medical cannabis card.
